Summary

The Bangweulu Wetlands are a large wetland landscape in Zambia, linking open water, floodplains and areas used by local communities. Seasonal conditions shape habitats for distinctive birds and other wildlife.

The wonder is the relationship between people, water and ecological change. The broad wetland system supports life in several different forms, making it more than a remote wildlife spectacle.
