The 100 Wonders Project is free to read, independent and without adverts. Its purpose is to make extraordinary places easier to discover, understand and consider for a visit. The usefulness of the work depends on clear distinctions and careful maintenance.
Explain the judgement
Alex’s The Original 100 is an editorial selection. Honourable Mentions and Extraordinary Discoveries introduce further candidates, and visitors can make their own ranking. The website should explain why a place is included without pretending that a personal order is a scientific measurement.
Keep sources visible
Background interpretation, practical information and photographs have different sources and update cycles. A guide should help readers find the underlying material. An editorial update date should not imply that every practical detail has been checked that day.

Make photography honest
Images need accurate subjects, useful captions and appropriate rights. A beautiful photograph is not evidence of current access or a promise of conditions. The project does not present sourced images as Alex’s personal photographs.
Make functions dependable
A saved visit should survive a change of ranking. An exported backup should contain the information it promises. A map should link to the right guide. These ordinary behaviours are central to making a large collection useful.
