The story of a place
A coral reef unusually close to a stark, beautiful coast.
Ningaloo's appeal comes partly from the proximity of reef and shore. The marine landscape sits beside the arid Cape Range coast, creating a strong contrast between land and water.
Wildlife experiences depend on seasons, conditions and responsible operators. Whale sharks, rays and other animals are never guaranteed, and keeping appropriate distance is central to the experience.
