Choose an island story Hawaii's islands are related but distinct. A volcanic landscape, a coastal trail and a cultural visit call for different bases and different preparation. One well-chosen island can support a much richer trip than a rapid sequence of flights and hotel changes.
Choose the island or pair of islands before assembling activities. Use current park and local guidance for volcanic areas, coastal conditions and permitted routes.
