Three different expressions of scale Paris, Versailles and Chartres belong to one entry, but they ask for different kinds of days. A city neighbourhood, a palace-and-garden visit and a cathedral encounter are not interchangeable experiences. Their contrast can become the structure of the trip.
Keep Versailles and Chartres as properly planned outings from Paris or as separate stops. Avoid treating their transport and grounds as incidental.
