Getting there

Make the historic centre the focus of your arrival, with Rione Monti and Aia Piccola as the two main trulli districts. Leave time to cross between them and visit Trullo Sovrano on the other side of the town centre.

Plan ahead

Reserve a trullo stay if that is part of the experience. Check the entry arrangements for Trullo Sovrano or another house museum; many other trulli remain homes or businesses.

From inspiration to a practical plan

Plan your visit.

Physical demands
The districts have sloping, stone-paved lanes. A short circuit is possible, but steps and small interiors make individual buildings less straightforward than the street walk.
The consequential detail
Visit residential areas considerately and use an interpreted interior to understand how the buildings work.
